About Us
Carmel Obstetrics and Gynecology was the first, and remains, the only Obstetrics and Gynecology practice solely dedicated to the South Charlotte area and have since expanded into the South-West Charlotte region with the opening of our new Steele Creek office. The new office is the first OBGYN practice in the Steele Creek area.
Our state of the art, newly constructed offices offers complete Obstetrics and Gynecology care in a friendly and comfortable environment. Our patients can enjoy everything from high-resolution sonography, coffee service and wireless internet in the waiting room.
Upon visiting our office you will find not only highly skilled physicians trained by some of the best Universities throughout the country, but also a staff that is compassionate and proficient. We enjoy affiliations with both Carolinas Medical Center-Pineville Maternity Center as well as the new Presbyterian Ballantyne Surgery Center.
In The Community
Carmel OBGYN proudly supports and sponsors many programs, events and projects throughout the Charlotte community. We feel the need to give back to the community which has welcomed our team and helped us grow to the practice we are today and the practice we want to be in the future.
- Contributed $1000 to the Ballantyne Rotary Club’s “Basketball for the Community”, which our very own Dr. Phil Solomon played. This contribution was part of the $10,000 sponsorship from the Presbyterian Healthcare System.
- Carmel OBYN sponsors a boys and girls softball team each year at South Park Elementary School
- Dr. James Meek and Dr. Philip Solomon have been participating in the CCHC Volunteer Clinic, a free clinic offering care and treatment to underprivileged women with primary care issues such as pap and breast exams, blood pressure monitoring, scheduling mammograms, etc.
